Marc-Edouard Vlasic had nothing but a few laughters for NHL's new "offer".

Gary Bettman, representing the NHL owners, expressed their willingness to let their players play in the 2018 Winter Olympics. They're asking in exchange a 3-years extension of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.

"I started laughing," Vlasic said, according to Kevin Kurz. "That’s not negotiating. It’s not. As an athlete, it’s your right to go to the Olympics. I don’t know if (the report) is true. I hope it’s not."

Vlasic won a gold medal in the 2014 Olympics and is still one of the best left-handed two-way defenseman the Canada could count on. The Montreal native would at least expect an invitation to the 2018 Olympics evaluation camp. He, for sure, wouldn't want to be told he couldn't represent his country.
