A team has decided to add some seriously cool logos for next season.

The San Jose Sharks have unveiled three new secondary logos to be used for merchandise and promotions, while the current logos used on helmets and jerseys are to remain the same.

Bay Area Graphic artist Terry Smith created the new logos and is the creator of the original Sharks logo. His artwork was featured as the crest on the team’s original jersey and used again last season on the team’s retro-jersey’s to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the franchise.

“It’s always exciting to continue to work on the Sharks brand. We have taken tremendous pride in designing all of the team’s signature looks for the last 25 years,” said Smith. “As an artist and sports enthusiast, there is no greater feeling than having the fans and players embrace what we create. Working on a new generation of Sharks logos has given us the opportunity to expand the brand and incorporate new elements into the overall look and feel of the franchise.”
