The Colorado Avalanche have superstars available for trade and they aren't even trying to hide their intentions.

According to the Journal De Montreal, the Avs had three reserved seats at TD Garden for tonight's matchup between the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins. One of those seats was reserved for none other than team GM Joe Sakic, who was probably trying to get a look at potential trade partners.

The Avalanche have committed to building a young team, and rumors have surrounded two of their biggest stars leading up to the March.1 trade deadline. It is believed that both forwards Matt Duchene and Gabriel Landeskog could be available for the right price.

Sakic won't part with either of these two on the cheap, and he has a high price for Duchene in particular. The Avs could be demanding a high draft-pick, a prospect along with a quality defenceman for his services.

Duchene has recorded 15 goals and 32 points in 47 games this season, and could be a part of the biggest deadline deal of the year. Either the Bruins or Canadiens could be interested in acquiring Duchene or Landeskog, and Sakic made it pretty obvious he was doing homework for the deadline.

While the asking price might be steep, players of this caliber are usually slim at the deadline.

Sakic should be fielding offers any day now.
