After dropping a little nuggets about Montreal Canadiens forward Lars Eller being mentioned in trade talks TSN insider Darren Dreger has revealed another potential trade to reveal.
Dreger has stated that the San Jose Sharks are in the market for a top 5 defenseman, in fact according to Nichols on Hockey they "are pushing pretty hard"to make this one happen, obviously believing they need the help on the blue line to make a real playoff push.
Dreger did also mention two of the options the Sharks are looking at to possibly feel that need, vancouver Canucks veteran defenseman Dan Hamhuis who may not even be available, and Toronto Maple Leafs veteran defenseman Roman Polak, who as a UFA is almost certainly available.
Obviously we aren't necessarily talking about the same level of player in these two potential options, however the availability of these players may be a major factor in what deal actually gets done before the deadline.
