Teammates Fiala and Arvidsson go at it in practice, Subban forced to separate them

It’s getting testy in Nashville after two consecutive losses.

The Nashville Predators entered the 2018-19 season as strong Stanley Cup contenders and through 47 games the team has not disappointed. The team is just two points back of the Winnipeg Jets for the Central Division lead with an impressive 27-16-4 record.

It hasn’t been all roses for the Preds this season though. The team has lost two in a row and frustrations reportedly boiled over in practice yesterday with teammates Kevin Fail and Viktor Arvidsson needing to be separated in practice.

Check out this report from Preds insider Adam Vingan on The Athletic:

Some intense special teams drills happening at practice today, so much so that Kevin Fiala and Viktor Arvidsson engaged in an unfriendly bearhug. P.K. Subban stepped in to break it up.

Hold on… P.K. Subban stepped in to break up a fight between teammates? The same guy that got into nearly half a dozen fights with teammates during his Montreal Canadiens days? Maybe he truly has turned over a new leaf?

In any case, Preds fans were actually grateful to hear the news, considering the team’s recent slide. If nothing else, it at least shows that they care and that there’s some fire deep down inside. Now is the time to start using that fire against opponents, rather than each other.
