The Winnipeg Jets find themselves in a significant cap crunch this offseason. They have a long list of pending free agents, and only $23.87 million in projected cap space, according to CapFriendly, and teams are circling around some of these players…

However, while many might think that rival clubs are looking at RFA forward Patrik Laine, TSN insider Pierre LeBrun revealed on Wednesday that teams are actually reaching out to teammate RFA Kyle Connor.

The 22-year-old scored a career-high 34 goals and added a career-high 32 assists over 82 games in 2018-19, his third season in the NHL. On top of that, he added three goals and two assists in just six playoff games as Winnipeg was eliminated in the first round by the eventual Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues.

He impressed a lot of folks out there and teams are clearly intrigued by the young forward.

LeBrun also mentions that Carolina Hurricanes’ Sebastien Aho is gathered loads of interest from rival teams.

The 21-year-old forward also scored a career-high 30 goals and a career-high 53 assists over 82 games with the Canes in 2018-19. He added five goals and seven assists in 15 playoff games.

The Hurricanes are hoping to keep his services in Carolina. TSN's Frank Seravalli believes Aho's is seeking a five-year deal with an average annual value in the range of $9.5 million.

We will know more on July 1st!
