Teams swap forwards in yet another late deadline deal.

A pair of teams have swapped forwards in the late stages of Monday's NHL Trade Deadline.

According to Arthur Staple of Newsweek Sports, the New York Islanders have acquired Colorado Avalanche forward Marc-Andre Cliche in exchange for New York Islanders forward Taylor Beck.

Cliche is a second year centreman after being drafted by the New York Rangers 56th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. In 151 NHL games, Cliche has recorded 3 goals and 11 assists for 14 total points.

Beck was a relative newcomer to the Islanders after spending the first two seasons of his career with the Nashville Predators. The 24-year old winger has amassed 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points in 87 NHL games.
