Love him or hate him, there’s no denying the passion of NBC analyst Pierre McGuire.

In case you missed it Fans absolutely RIPPED the veteran broadcaster for “mansplaining” to U.S. Olympian and guest analyst Kendall Coyne Schofield last night, prior to NBC’s broadcast of the Pittsburgh Penguins vs Tampa Bay Lightning game. It was truly a cringeworthy moment that only Pierre himself is worthy of providing.

Check it out:

“Tampa’s going to be on your left, Pittsburgh’s going to be on your right," McGuire told Coyne Schofield on air. "We’re paying you to be an analyst, not be a fan tonight."

Uh… Pierre, did you forget that Coyne is a five-time World Championship gold medalist and helped the United States to capture gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics? She understands the game at a higher level than almost anyone and has a communication degree from Northeastern to boot. This woman knows her stuff.

In any case, as mentioned before fans came out online and absolutely ripped McGuire, prompting Coyne to make a statement herself.

Check it out:

Well said, Kendall. Pure class, but then again… what else would you expect?

Pierre himself issued a statement shortly after, apologizing for his awkward excitement:

Good on you for owning up to your own weirdness, Pierre.

In honour of said weirdness though, let’s take a look at ten times Pierre was awkward as fuck on TV, courtesy of Reddit user CanesForEv4:
