The Minnesota Wild have just hit a major roadblock.
The Wild are currently engaged in a very fierce battle for a shot at the National Hockey League post season, and with them currently sitting four points out of a playoff spot, they have just lost one of their best players and no one seems to know for how long.
According to a report from Chad Graff of the Pioneer Press Parise will miss "at least two games" but head coach John Torchetti made it clear that was only an estimate and it "could be more."
The fact that no one is willing to give any specifics on this injury is a troublign sign, and with Jason Zucker already out of the line up, and with a new head coach behind the bench, this is going to be a very steep uphill battle for the Wild.
Zach Parise was injured Tuesday against the Islanders, Torchetti said. Out at least two games, maybe more. "We'll see," Torchetti said.— Chad Graff (@ChadGraff) February 25, 2016
