The Avalanche broke a pretty sad milestone yesterday.

Breaking records should be fun and rewarding. Well, the Avalanche is on the wrong side of history about one humbling fact. 

It would be an understatement to say the Colorado Avalanche team is having a rough year. Actually, since the beginning of the shootout period in 2005-2006, it's the worst season in hockey. 

With a meager point percentage of .294, the Avalanche is officially the worst (almost) ever. Even the Sabres during their worst period didn't do so bad, with a bottom an absolute bottom at .317! 

We're not into bashing professional players trying their best to win, but in this case it's pretty pathetic. There's always next year, we guess.
