The Calgary Flames may find themselves on the wrong end of some calls in the coming weeks, they are undoubtedly the most disliked team among NHL officials at the moment.
After Flames defenseman Dennis Wideman became the poster boy for abuse of an official, the Flames, through some bad luck, once again found themselves on the wrong side of an incident resulting in an injured NHL official.
This time it was a clearing attempt from Flames defenseman Deryk Engelland that ended up striking an official directly in the face, never even coming close to being cleared. The official would leave the game, clutching at his face around his jaw area. Highly unlikely it was an intentional play, but a hilarious coincidence given the current circumstances.
