The future of head coach Ken Hitchcock no longer in doubt.

There have been rumblings about the future of head coach Ken Hitchcock behind the St. Louis Blues bench dating all the way back to last season.

This time around however Hitchcock led his team to the Western Conference Final and some believed that his team's improved playoff performance would be enough to secure his job. It appears that is in fact the case, and a report from Sportsnet insider Nick Kypreos has claimed that a decision has been made to keep Hitchcock as the Blues head coach for next season.

The announcement has not yet been made official but Kypreos has claimed an announcement from the Blues, presumably general manager Doug Armstrong, is expected as early as this week.
