The Toronto Maple Leafs have pulled off a relatively minor trade but no doubt it will be one that will make them quite happy.

According to a report from Sportsnet's Luke Fox, the Toronto Maple Leafs will be sending goaltender Michael Hutchinson to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for defenseman Calle Rosen. This is definitely a relatively minor trade in the grand scheme of things, especially on what has been a very busy deadline day, but it will feel like a huge sigh of relief for Leafs Nation.

The reality of the situation is that goaltender Michael Hutchinson was simply terrible for the Maple Leafs this season and getting him off the team's roster will likely remove the negative stigma that was surrounding him. Hutchinson was never able to be a consistent performer for the Leafs at either the American Hockey League or National Hockey League level and now they will get a player that will likely be a 7th defenseman for them moving forward.
