It's an award that's been a long time coming for Drew Doughty and once again it was an incredibly tight race.
The National Hockey League has announced it's Norris Trophy winner for the 2015-2016 season, and the long time Los Angeles Kings blue liner will finally take home the hardware after coming up just short several seasons in a row.
It should comes as no surprise that Ottawa Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson finished second in voting after his terrific season, one that many argued was Norris worthy, and the 46 first place votes he earned are proof of that.
