The Pittsburgh Penguins seem to be keeping everyone in the dark regarding Marc-Andre Fleury, including the New York Rangers.
After the team surprised everyone on Wednesday by starting Jeff Zatkoff in Game 1 of their opening round matchup against the Rangers, head coach Mike Sullivan remains ambiguous on Fleury's status for the series.
"When we decide to put Marc-Andre in game, we'll let you know," he said.
Fleury is continuing to recover from a concussion and the Penguins used a certain amount of trickery leading up to Wednesday's game. Sullivan revealed that he deliberately sent Fleury - who didn't dress - off the ice first to make it seem as though he was starting Game 1. This gave the Rangers no time to prepare for third-string netminder Jeff Zatkoff, who made 35 saves in a 5-2 victory.
The team seems content on leaving everyone on a need-to-know basis.
