The Rangers looking to bring back former forward before the deadline!

The loss of Chris Kreider in New York is causing the Rangers to scramble a bit and look for a solution up front before he can return to the lineup, in what is expected to be six to eight weeks due to a blood cloth in his arm.

Rangers GM Jeff Gorton is looking at the market for an affordable option to bring to his team and boost the offense. According to Larry Brook of the New York Post, Gorton could look in the past to better the future.

"It is not as if Iā€™d relinquish a valuable asset to acquire him, but in the wake of the news Chris Kreider will be sidelined for at least two months and perhaps much longer than that, it would seem to make sense for the Rangers to check on the price of bringing Anthony Duclair back to Broadway for a look-see."

Duclair has found himself on the trade block, as the Arizona Coyotes are far off playoff contention, but the 22-year-old winger is having a much better season than the previous one. In 31 games with the Coyotes, Duclair has tallied seven goals and 13 points, and could get a bigger boost in confidence if he were to play for a contender.

Since the Rangers' farm club does not seem to be able to provide the depth the team currently needs, Duclair could be an option and return to the club that selected him in the third round, 80th overall, in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
