The New Jersey Devils have placed one of their young forwards on waivers.

The Devils officially announced that forward Reid Boucher was headed to the waiver wire shortly after it was announced earlier today that Taylor Hall would be returning from injury well ahead of the three to four week schedule,

The 23-year-old former fourth round draft pick has appeared in nine games for the Devils this season and record no goals and two assists good enough for a dead even plus minus rating of zero over that stretch of play.

Boucher was a highly touted prospect earlier in his hockey career but has failed to show consistency at the professional level so it's unclear what other teams around the league think of him at this stage. I suppose we will find out when we learn if he made it through the waiver process.
