The Buffalo Sabres have shocked the world and pull off a stunning move in free agency. According to a breaking news report from National Hockey League insider Darren Dreger the Buffalo Sabres have signed star forward Taylor Hall, seemingly winning the bidding war for his services.

No details of this contract are known to us at this time, however we will be bringing you those here shortly.

Update: Still no concrete details, however NHL insider Elliotte Friedman is reporting that this will be a short term deal.

Update: This one is almost as shocking as the fact that the Sabres are the team that got the deal done, once again according to Darren Dreger this is going to be a 1 year deal worth $8 million for Hall. There was a ton of talk leading up to this decision that suggested Hall would insist on playing for a contending team, but given that the Sabres have done nothing but miss the playoffs in recent years that does not appear to have been a factor here, at least not on the surface.

Stay tuned for more details.
