It's still early but it looks like the Columbus Blue Jackets have suddenly woken up and realized that they are a professional hockey team, winning six of their nine games this month and they might be about to get even better.

A report from the Blue Jackets official website has revealed that injured defenseman Seth Jones will make his return to the team's NHL line up effective immediately. Jones missed six games after fracturing a bone in his foot earlier this season and as one of the team's best defenseman there's an expectation his return will improve the already surging Blue Jackets.

Unfortunately Jones' return is not good news for everyone, left wing Markus Hannikainen has been sent back down to the American Hockey League's Cleveland Monsters without have appeared in a single game for the Jackets.
