The time Brent Burns almost missed a game because he was attacked by a Cheetah.

San Jose Sharks defenseman and all around crazy man Brent Burns joined the boys for the latest episode of the Spittin’ Chiclets podcast and … surprise… surprise… Burnzie had some truly unreal stories to share.

Perhaps the best tale Burns shared though was from the time he and teammates Joe Thornton and Colin White visited an animal sanctuary only to be attacked by a female cheetah… say what!?

Pretty sure if you were to poll 100 hockey fans on who would be most likely to miss a game due to cheetah attack that every single person would guess Brent Burns. After all, this is a guy who operates his own animal sanctuary of sorts on his ranch in Texas where he raises and maintains several species of exotic animals, including Wildebeest and fallow deer.
