The National Hockey League free agent frenzy has died down quite a bit over the course of this current week, however there are still some relatively big names on the board waiting to be claiming.

Sportsnet's Luke Fox has ranked the top 10 free agents who are still available, and especially near the top of the list it's very easy to see how some of these men could have significant impacts.

Topping Fox's list is veteran defenseman Andrei Markov. Markov was 2nd in the league when it comes to primary assists for a defenseman last season, and while he has slowed down considerably for a top-pairing defenseman, there is absolutely no doubt that he still brings a great deal of value to the blue line.

Up next is Thomas Vanek, again a player who's production and value is not at all in question. Despite bouncing around from team to team during his career Vanek has continued to put up numbers, including 48 points last season between the Florida Panthers and Detroit Red Wings. 17 goals and 31 assists is something every team would like to add, the question is how much will it cost them.

Almost certainly the biggest name on the list comes in at number three, and that name is none other that NHL legend Jaromir Jagr. His history and his production speak for themselves, although there is a concern that Jagr may have slowed down to the point of being unable to compete with the much younger players in the NHL.

At number four is long-time Nashville Predators forward Mike Fisher. Not only did Fisher put up 14 goals and 24 assists for 42 points in 72 games last season, but he also brings intangibles to a locker room, like his leadership qualities for example. Fisher is perhaps one of the most interesting names on this list because of how his intangibles can factor into such a move.

29-year-old defenseman Cody Franson has to be extremely disappointed to find himself at number five on this list. The former Predators, Maple Leafs and Sabres defenseman has been looking for a long-term deal for some time and once again it appears that he won't be getting it. That being said it seems highly unlikely that the talented 29-year old will struggle to find a team for next season.

The bottom five on the list are veteran players who's chances of making an NHL roster are a little more in doubt, with the most notable name among them being ?Jarome Iginla. Rounding out the rest of the bottom five are Brian Campbell, Brian Gionta, Mark Streit and Drew Stafford

Are there any names on this list you feel your favorite team should attempt to acquire?
