The first game of a three-game series final between Team Canada and Team Europe took place on Wednesday night.
Canada won 3-1, thanks mainly to two Bruins players.
Both Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand scored and assisted each other, and the top line totaled six points tonight with the aid of Sidney Crosby, who also netted two assists.
Steven Stamkos made the red goal light flash for the first time this tournament, ending his drought and aiding Team Canada with the first victory in a best-of-three series.
Crosby believes that Team Canada needs to play better if they expect to win the gold Thursday, saying that “ultimately we found a way to win; that’s important.”
Here’s to Team Canada, the (upcoming) gold winners of the WCOH 2016!
