One of the biggest pieces of trade bait on the market leading up the NHL's trade deadline of February 24th has been landed by the Vancouver Canucks. TSN Insider Darren Dreger and Pierre LeBrun are both reporting that Tyler Toffoli is now a member of Vancouver.

According to Pierre LeBrun, no salary is being retained by the Kings on Toffoli ($4.6 M AAV) because there's an NHL player in the return package. The Kings are getting a pick, a prospect and an NHL player. Another conditional pick is involved if Toffoli re-signs with Vanvouver.

TSN's Bob McKenzie says the return to L.A. is NHLer Tim Schaller, prospect Tyler Madden and 2020 2nd round pick.

Toffoli has been with the L.A. Kings since being taken by the team in the second round during the 2010 entry draft. He's been the subject of trade rumours for at least the last three trade deadline. In 515 career games, he has 139 goals and 290 points.
