The Washington Capitals were facing elimination in game 6 against the Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Washington won the game 5-2 and showed a lot of confidence by beating the Penguins at home. The Washington Capitals publicly mocked the Penguins’ fans after many empty seats were shown on broadcast.

“Hey, where’d everybody go?” tweeted the Washington Capitals organization as it was 5-0 for Ovechkin’s gang and there was 7 minutes left to the game. That was just for fun, of course. Nevertheless it shows that the rivalry took another step last night when WSH social media manager decided to poke the bear during the game.
