After a solid outing, Devan Dubnyk will get some rest tonight.
According to Michael Russo of the Star-Tribune, Darcy Kuemper will start in goal for Wednesday's crucial matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Kuemper will be in between the pipes despite the fact that Dubnyk is 8-0 with Minnesota in the regular season against the Hawks. Kuemper tied a career-high with a 41-save win in Edmonton, and the Wild are well off enough in the standings where theres no need to risk Dubnyk's health by starting him on back-to-back nights.
The Wild sport a league-best 18-6-5 record on the road with a league-most 41 points.
They are in for a tough test as the Blackhawks, who have lost eight straight regular-season games against the Wild stated that "this is the biggest game of their season so far."
