Andrei Svechnikov. That's a name to remember as this 16 year-old kid is already breaking records around the world. The Russian forward was playing in a Junior A Tournament in Bonnyville Alberta, one of the most underrated tournament in the Junior Hockey calendar according to Shane Malloy.
Svechnikov led his team to the bronze medal in a 7-4 win over the Czech. His four points performance (3 goals and an assist) granted him the player of the game and glazing eyes from the scouts in the stand. Those 3 goals combined with his previous 5 are now an all-time record for the Junior A tournament. Something to be proud of.
Svechnikov has already the size to play in the NHL ((6"2 and 185 pounds) and there's still a lot of time ahead of him to put on at least 15 pounds of muscle. A real combination of size and speed, Andreî skates through the defense as if he was already a professional playing with teenagers.
