Three NHL forwards fined for diving.

Coincidently all three are on bad teams.

In a bit of a strange coincidence three players, all of whom are on teams at or near the bottom of the standings, have been issued fines for diving by the National Hockey League.

The league first announced a fine for Edmonton Oilers forward Nail Yakupov, Yakupov received the minimum fine for what is his second infraction, his first since having previously received a warning for diving.

Also fined the minimum by the league was Arizona Coyotes forward Martin Hanzal. In yet another odd coincidence, both Hanzal and Yakupov were fined for infractions in the same game when they faced each other earlier this month.

Last but certainly not least, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri received not one but two fines for diving, the first being for the minimum amount of $2,000 and a second fine in the amount of $3,000 for his third infraction of rule 64.

Not a good look for any of these players, but certainly not for Kadri who has the rather embarrassing distinction of being awarded two fines for diving at once.
