Much respect to hockey historian Mike Commito for digging up this ancient clip from the 1944 NHL season where Mntreal Canadiens players carry Boston Bruins players Milt Schmidt, Woody Dumart and Bobby Bauer off the ice following their game. The Bruins forwards were all set to serve for Canada in World War II and were to be deployed the following day.
