A National Hockey League team that sold off assets at the deadline may still be looking to fight for a playoff spot, and they are arming themselves with weapons from across the Atlantic to do it.

An official report from the Vancouver Canucks has confirmed that center Drew Shore will make his debut as a Canuck on Monday night after the Canucks signed him to a contract over the week-end.

Shore, a former 2nd round pick of the Florida Panthers in 2009, was playing for Kloten HC and was currently one of the top ten point producers in the Swiss League when he got the call from the Canucks.

Shore has previous NHL experience having played 80 games in the league, almost all of them with the Panthers, although he did also have a brief stint as a member of the Calgary Flames.
