Top free agent expected to 'test the market.'

It sounds like one this summer's most talented pending free agents is not entirely happy with his current situation, and that could perhaps explain why no new deal has been reached this far.

According to TSN hockey insider Darren Dreger it's more than likely that New York Islanders' forward Kyle Okposo will test the market when he is finally free to do so come July, and the instability of the organization may be at play.

"Many believe that it's more likely that Kyle Okposo, a pending unrestricted free agent, will test the market come July," said Dreger as per Nichols on Hockey.

Again according to Dreger one of the issue for Okposo may be the Islanders current involvement with the Barclays Center, something that has been a source of frustration for just about everyone, especially fans of the team.

"The inconvenience of the Barclays Center might contribute to his ultimate decision," added Dreger.

Things could change between now and July, but if Dreger is correct, and he usually is, Okposo, who already has 52 points this season, could be a very attractice free agent.
