Top prospect Kaapo Kakko scores the goal of the year at IIHF World Championships

If you’re an NHL Draft nerd chances are you’ve seen top Finnish prospect Kaapo Kakko do his thing already. He dazzled at the World Junior Championships this past January and ended up scoring the game winning goal to help Finland claim gold. In short, the kid is legit.

The 18 year old Kakko is currently over in Slovakia and he’s absolutely DOMINATING the 2019 IIHF World Championships for team Finland. Kakko had five goals in three games coming into today’s contest against Denmark and he may have saved his prettiest goal for the Danes.

Check out these wheels, this dangle and… my God that finish:

So nice… we have to see it twice:

Again, the kid is legit. The New Jersey Devils are going to have a difficult, but enviable, position picking fist overall this June. Kakko or Jack Hughes?
