According to Sportsnet's Chris Johnston, The Toronto Maple Leafs would have added a stall for a newcomer. The name of Karri Ramo now appears on the Maple Leafs locker room, he's been practicing with the team as part of his rehabilitation program since early November.
The Finnish goaltender was part of the Calgary Flames last year and shared the workload with Jonas Hiller and Joni Ortio. All of these players left the Flames at the end of the 2015-2016 season and Ramo hasn't signed a contract since.
This move by the Leafs is being analysed by hockey analyst around the NHL since it's pretty unusual for a team to carry 3 goaltenders throughout the year. A transaction might be in Toronto's air!
