Toronto Maple Leafs announce first wave of significant roster cuts

The first wave of significant cuts are in.

Slowly but surely, the Toronto Maple Leafs roster is beginning to take shape. With the regular season right around the corner, general manager Kyle Dubas continues to structure the final 23 names that will hit the ice on opening night later this month.

And to that end, the team has announced their first significant wave of roster cuts. They include:

-Mikhail Abramov
-Joseph Duszak
-Noel Hoefenmayer
-Teemu Kivihalme
-Jack Kopacka
-Jeremy McKenna
-Nick Robertson

Toronto has two remaining exhibition games on their schedule before the real fun begins.
