In case you missed it, Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand ignited a firestorm on criticism last night when he took a cheap shot Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Scott Harrington.
During a scrum in front of the Blue Jackets’ net in the final minute of play, Marchand delivered a short, quick punch to the back of Harrington’s head while Harrington was down on one knee.

Earlier today the NHL announced that Marchand will face no supplemental discipline for the punch, which prompted a reaction (non-reaction?) from Blue Jackets head coach John Tortorella.
