Tortorella believes World Cup win could rival his career accomplishments.

Head coach John Tortorella has been a source of controversy during his National Hockey League career, but this time he's made a statement I think everyone can relate to.

In a recent interview with NHL.com, Tortorella was asked about his role in the upcoming World Cup of Hockey, and it's clear that despite having accomplished a great deal already in his career, this is one trophy Tortorella would love to have under his belt.

"Totally honored to be involved with this, to represent your country," Tortorella said. "We're really looking forward to it. I was very fortunate to win the Stanley Cup, [but] to do something in this situation and try to come into a situation and win it, man oh man, I'm not sure where you'd rank that."

Tortorella implies here that it would rank among the greatest accomplishments of his career, and it's clear that the pride he feels in representing his country has a great deal with it. Not to mention it's the first ever World Cup, and the team to win the championship will forever be the first to win the title.
