The Columbus Blue Jackets jumped into a playoff spot last night with a 6-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens, however, head coach John Tortorella wasn't focus on that when he faced reporters after the game.

He instead had some choice words for Habs forward Andrew Shaw, who levelled defenseman Adam McQuaid with a nasty elbow to the head during the second period of the contest.

McQuaid appeared to shaken up as Shaw got a forearm up high, yet all Shaw was assessed was a two minute minor for interference. The blue liner, who has a history of concussions, did not return to the game...

"Suspendable. Ridiculously suspendable," Tortorella said after the game, according to The Athletic's Aaron Portzline.

It was clear that the Jackets head coach was pissed about the hit as he started yelling right after at the bench during the game.

Shaw has been suspended three times over his eight-year career, most recently in 2016 when he received a three-game ban for boarding. It remains to be seen if the NHL will listen to Torts and demand a hearing with Shaw for a potential suspension...

To be continued...
