Tortorella Knows Who's To Blame

John Tortorella is continuing to make headlines after a disastrous World Cup of Hockey saw Team USA be quickly disposed of with two uninspiring losses in two preliminary round games. Questions surrounding coaching decisions and roster selections have been omnipresent since before the competition even took place, but Tortorella is convinced the problem came from within.

 

Tortorella told NBC Sports :

 

“…you guys can beat up the roster all you want… there are some pretty good skill players, and we just simply did not do enough offensively. And we self-inflicted quite a bit in the two games. We gave some easy goals, and you just can’t do that in a short tournament.”
