Trade: A trade has been made just hours ahead of free agency.

With free agency only a couple hours away two of the NHL's worst teams have made a trade. The Arizona Coyotes and the Edmonton Oilers have announced a trade involving two depth players, Boyd Gordon and Lauri Korpikowski. The Coyotes will acquire Gordon who previously spent time with the Coyotes while the Oilers will acquire Korpikowski who had a better season than Gordon and comes with one more year on his contract. It's a strange move from Phoenix, and it could be potentially one designed to get them to the cap floor with a slightly higher cap hit from Gordon.
