This just in, the Anaheim Ducks have traded defenseman Erik Gudbranson to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for a 2021 5th round pick.
Check it out:
"Erik Gudbranson provides another sizable presence to our defence corps," said Senators general manager Pierre Dorion. "He's a reliable veteran who plays an intimidating style of game and someone who will add a combination of grit, energy and, most importantly, leadership to our lineup."
The 28 year old former 3rd overall pick has bounced around the NHL a lot the past few seasons. In just one season he's gone from the Vancouver Canucks to the Pittsburgh Penguins to the Anaheim Ducks and now to the Senators. He has one year remaining on a contract that pays him $4 million annually.
