The Florida Panthers who have been the big surprise in the Eastern Conference this season have added a solid forward to their team.

They acquired Jiri Hudler from the Calgary Flames for a 2016 2nd round pick and a 2018 4th round pick. Hudler was a key part of the Flames making the playoffs last season after scoring 76 points in 78 games, including 31 goals. This season he has had a hard time finding his game and only has 35 points in 53 games, with only 10 goals. Maybe a change of scenery might help him find his game from last season. If he does, he can be a great add to a solid Panthers team who is looking to make their return to the playoffs a good one.

The Panthers felt like they needed some added scoring behind their top line of Jaromir Jagr, Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau. By adding Hudler, they will get just that.
