The Montreal Canadiens and the Buffalo Sabres are facing one another tonight, but they have already faced off in a season-opener's trade.
The Habs have acquired forward Nicolas Delsauriers from the Sabres, in return for defenseman Zach Redmond.
Deslauriers will for now report to the farm club, the Laval Rocket.
In 42 games last season in Buffalo, Deslauriers amassed two assists. As for Redmond, he recorded five assists in 16 games with the Canadiens last year.
