The Florida Panthers have traded veteran defenseman Jason Demers to the Arizona Coyotes for forward Jamie McGinn.
While Demers had been rumored to be on the trade block for months, the move still comes as a surprise considering that he signed a five-year, $22.5 million deal with the Panthers just last offseason.
