Trade Alert: Panthers trade veteran Anton Stralman

A salary dump for the Panthers?

HockeyFeed

This just in from NHL insider Pierre LeBrun, the Florida Panthers have reportedly traded veteran defenseman Anton Stralman to the Arizona Coyotes.

No word yet on the return but Stralman has one year left at $5.4 million and given the Coyotes' moves so far this offseason, it wouldn't be surprising if this was a pure salary cap dump on the Panthers' part.

More from Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman:

The Coyotes have acquired some truly awful contracts this offseason by trading for Andrew Ladd, Loui Eriksson, Antoine Roussel, Jay Beagle and now Stralman. Stay tuned for full details of this deal once confirmed.
