TRADE: Future Hall of Famer has been dealt to Stanley Cup contender!

Jarome Iginla will get his chance to win a Stanley Cup.

According to ESPN's Pierre LeBrun, the Colorado Avalanche have dealt the 39-year old winger to the Los Angeles Kings for a conditional fourth round draft pick. In addition, the Avs' have retained 50 percent of Iginla's salary.

The former 50-goal scorer came close to winning the Cup in 2004 as a member of the Flames, but lost in Game 6 in a controversial match.

Iginla has a trophy case full of awards he has accrued including two "Rocket" Richard Trophys and an Art Ross Trophy. The Avalanche have been out of the running for some time now and Sakic is trying to accomodate another legend of the game.
