Ken Holland might have more chance than former Edmonton Oilers GM Peter Chiarelli or assistant GM Keith Gretzky

Oilers insider Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal believes the Oilers will have another go at trying to acquire Toronto Maple Leafs forward Connor Brown.

Both teams reportedly tried to make the trade happen at the deadline back in February, but something fell through. It could now take place this summer.

Back in February, the rumour from Jimmy Murphy had revealed that the deal involved Brown and Oilers defenseman Adam Larsson. However, it was quickly dismissed by Edmonton pundits, but the name of Brown has remained an interest of the Oilers since. The name of blue liner Matt Benning was also put in the mix…

Brown plays an aggressive game and has been used as a regular penalty killer over the past three seasons, which could be greatly beneficial for the Oilers.

He is also quite productive five on five and could be the answer to boost the Oilers’ offense.

Brown remains a solid option for the Oilers this summer… if the asking price is right.
