Why would the Blackhawks make a move before trade deadline?

It's quite ironic when we hear that the Chicago Blackhawks, top contending team year after year with lots of talented players, are involved in all types of trading rumors in order to add more talent offensively. What's behind those speculations? Well, Jonathan Toews offensive struggles on the first line might be the source of all these trade rumors. Added to the fact that the Chicago Blackhawks are contending for the precious honor again this year and the management might feel they're 1 or 2 forwards closer to being a more serious contender. But one question stays : How could they pull this off? Talent has price and the true challenge is to fit it under the salary cap.

What we have heard so far?

- Chicago Blackhawks already acquired Michael Latta from the Kings for Cam Schilling.

- Stan Bowman inquired for 2 Red Wings forward : Tomas Tatar and Gustav Nyquist.

- James Van Riemsdyk and Gabriel Landeskog's name came out a few times as  potential wingers for Jonathan Toews.

- Top insider Elliot Friedman believes there could be a possibility that Patrick Sharp makes a comeback to Chicago.

- Stan Bowman might also be looking to add a defenseman. Among the names that are often cited Kevin Shattenkirk (St.Louis), Michael Stone (Arizona), Dennis Wideman (Calgary) appears to be available.

Maxim Shalunov from the KHL might have interest in playing for the Chicago Blackhawks.

Again, it's all speculation and trade rumor, but which one do you think would fit best?
