We have another trade to announce as the continue to come in after the deadline.
This time it's one of the few additions by a non-playoff team and it comes surprisingly from a team that was expected to be major sellers at the deadline. During an interview just prior to boarding a plane for a road trip Edmonton Oilers general manager Peter Chiarelli hinted at the fact they had added some size, and now we can confirm that statement.
According to a report from ESPN's Pierre Lebrun the Oilers have acquired Patrick Maroon in exchange for a mid round draft pick as well as a prospect although it's unclear at this time what specifically Edmont gave up.
