Trade Rumor: 30+ goal scorer offered for Tavares?

New York Islanders legend Mike Bossy and TV analyst Yvon Pedneault made waves across the NHL yesterday with their comments on Montreal radio station 91.9 Sports regarding a potential trade between the Isles and the Montreal Canadiens.

The two hockey experts wondered if Habs general manager Marc Bergevin would move captain Max Pacioretty in return for John Tavares. 

The radio show host Jean-Charles Lajoie and Pedneault were against landing the Isles captain and losing Montreal's. They would prefer to see Pacioretty and Tavares play together on the same team. 

Bossy had already mentioned the possibility of moving young forward Alex Galchenyuk in return for Tavares. But both teams have yet to discuss a potential trade, seeing that Tavares and the Islanders are still open on a contract extension. 

Isles GM Garth Snow might want to look towards Montreal for different options...Just in case.
