Trade Rumor : Former 20 goals scorer on Stan Bowman's shopping list?

Why does the Blackhawks are around all the rumors involving forward?

It's no secret that the Chicago Blackhawks are seeking to add up more offense to their lineup. Why? It seems that Stan Bowman is looking to add up a talented forward that could help Jonathan Toews' offensive production.

The other reason is Stan Bowman is always looking to add up a few missing pieces by the trade deadline to increase his chances of bringing the Stanley cup back to Chicago.

New forward on Stan Bowman's shopping list

Now to be fair, lately we heard that almost all the forwards on the market were link to the Blackhawks rumors. James Van RiemsdykGabriel Landeskog,Thomas Vanek and Patrick Sharp were all stated as potential forwards who could land in Chicago by march 1st.

Elliotte Friedman, who mentioned yesterday that Thomas Vanek could be a great rental option for Stan Bowman, updated his article today by mentionning Radim Vrbata might also be in the portrait.

"With 11 goals and 35 points, Radim Vrbata is closing in on a $500,000 bonus for 20 goals and/or 40 points. There is also the possibility of up to $1.25M in playoff winnings. Initially, I mentioned that Arizona can’t promise to pay up to half of anything that could be accomplished after he is traded. That’s not correct, and it fooled some people (including myself). It’s Article 50.5, page 271 of the CBA. Basically, it comes down to the fact a team can’t say we’re keeping 50 per cent of salary, but not the bonuses. If you agree to take a chunk of something, you agree to take a chunk of all. So it’s good news for a club that would be interested in him." wrote Friedman.

It's now time for Stan Bowman to do his homework and take a closer look at what could be his best option as we're getting closer to march 1st trade deadline.
