This is why they invented bridge contract
Last June, Riley Sheahan was putting is signature down a 2 years bridge contract at an average of 2,075M$ per year. Former first round pick, Sheahan had a few "OK" season that led the management skeptical. Instead of giving him a long contract, they decided to offer him a bridge contract which him and his agent accepted.
Since then, Sheahan's both offensive and defensive stats are juste terrible. He's -17 and hasn't score in 2016-2017. In fact, his last goal happened on April 9th 2016.
As per TSLH, it might be the right time to give up on Sheahan. Numerous players such as Kevin Hayes, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Charlie Coyle and Brock Nelson were drafted after him and are more effective than Sheahan.
Should Ken Holland ged rid of him by March 1st?
